Purpose of Development

Baekje Cultural Land The glory and mistery of Baekje is now to be revealed after 1,400 years of silence.

Baekje culture in the Three Kingdom period lays the foundation of Korean culture and serves as an epicenter of east Asian culture. However, its sophistication and historical values have not been thoroughly investigated.

Baekje Cultural Land is a historical project to restore Baekje's unique culture. It involves all related expertise of 5 major intangible cultural heritage such as experts in woodwork, wood painting, tiling, wood carving, and lacquering to construct the royal palace Sabigung, the temple Neungsa, and the community village. In addition to the Sabiseong capital building, the Korea National University of Cultural Heritage and Lotte Buyeo Resort lie nearby to provide visitors with interesting opportunity to learn, experience, and enjoy the beauty of Baekje.
